BIO
My work is inspired by the type of imperfect repetition that is abundant in nature. The texture and patterns we see in moss, bark, and lichen all contain flaws, breaks, and subtle variation, but from the continued repetition of basic shapes emerges a complex whole.I grew up on a small farm in the northwest corner of Connecticut. And got a BFA in Art History and Studio Art from Skidmore College in upstate New York. Following my undergraduate work I moved to Chicago and worked for Looney & Associates, a hospitality design firm, for a year and half. I am currently an MFA candidate in Fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah.
